In solidarity with Muntadhar al-Zeid, the Iraqi guy who threw his shoes at Bush last week, I’d like to invite any and all to this “shoe-in” protest finale. This is our last chance to express our disgust at Bush, a “goodbye kiss to a dog” as Muntie so eloquently put it. Let’s flood the Bush White House with thousands of shoes!!! This is for anyone who is disgruntled with Bush’s policies, foreign or domestic.
What am I asking you to do?
Mail (or UPS, Fed Ex, whatever) a pair of old shoes to Bush. it is that simple. Post offices, UPS stores and mailbox places usually have boxes for sale if you don’t have a shoebox at home. The whole thing will cost you about 5-8 bucks depending on the size and weight of the shoes in question.
When should you begin?
Send shoes asap and continue until the end of his term.
What if you don’t have a pair of old shoes?
Get a pair from friends or neighbors, buy an old pair at a thrift store.
What if you can’t afford five or eight bucks?
Ok, then send a photo of your shoes in an envelope.
